PRESENTATION
BEST INDOOR CIRCUS SHOW, ZIRKOLIKA 2022 AWARDS
“There are souls that one wants to lean out of, like a window full of sun”. Federico García Lorca.
Waking up in a lonely place after isolation; we feel we are missing something.
We begin an inner search until we collide with the outside world, and we realize the need to seek and connect with the other, with other people; to be able to touch them, shake hands, share a hug, be together…
NUYE is a circus and choreographic proposal for six acrobats that starts from the exploration of the dynamics of couple/duo/partner relationships and that reflects the comings and goings between self and others, in a constant search to feel complete.
Hand to hand, banquines and icarian games take place on a stage, occupied by a carefully crafted wall that comes to life, with its doors, hinges, openings and diving board, which like us, reveals many faces.

Maiol Pruna Soler
Maiol grew up in the world of music and theatre thanks to his parents work. In addition to his schooling he began studying piano and circus arts. In 2014, once graduated from high school, Maiol began studying at the FLIC Circus school in Turin (Italy). Here he met Francesco Germini and they began working together as a hand to hand duo. In 2016 they were accepted into the ESAC (Superior Circus Arts School in Brussels) from where they graduated in June 2019.

Francesco Germini
Francesco studied guitar from 8 to 18 years of age, and when he was 15 years old he took his first steps into the world of circus at the Circo Instabile school. He then began his university studies in education and obtained his degree in science education in 2014. Once Francesco achieved his academic studies he was accepted into the FLIC Circus school in Turin (Italy). There he meets Maiol Pruna, with whom he began working as a hand to hand base. In 2016 they both began studying at ESAC with a specialty in partner acrobatics. The duo continues to nourish their passion for music together, they use their instruments (piano, guitar, keyboard, ukulele) to enrich their artistic universe.

Luca Bernini
Luca spent his childhood between Morocco, Spain and Italy, gathering unique experiences that later helped him in his decision to pursue circus. At age 16, Luca participated as a member of the company “Arti Distratte”, this led him to discover juggling, the discipline that he used to enter the FLIC Circus school in Italy. At FLIC, Luca discovers the discipline of hand to hand and he started working with his current partner Abigail Neuberger. Together, they entered into the superior school of circus arts L’Academie Fratellini, where they graduated in 2017. In October 2018 they created their first show “Compost”.

Abigail Neuberger
A gymnast since childhood, Abigail quit the competitive world of sports and her home country at the age of 18 to begin studying circus arts at the FLIC Circus school in Italy. Once arrived in this new country she discovered circus arts and decides to pursue this new passion. Abigail chose hand to hand as her means of expression on stage with her partner Luca Bernini. Her education in circus arts then continued at L’Academie Fratellini, from where she graduated in 2017. Luca Bernini and Abigail then proceeded to create their first show “Compost” in October 2018.

Laia Gómez Iglesias
Laia approached circus arts at the age of 9 after having experimented with different sports. Once she graduated with a high school diploma in Performing Arts in 2015, she started a professional formation at the circus school Rogelio Rivel in Barcelona, and it is here that she met Ona Vives, with whom she created an acrobatic duo specializing in icarian games. In 2017 the two entered the University CODARTS Circus Arts in Rotterdam, where they finished their academic studies in 2021.

Ona Vives Perez
Ona grew up with strong ties to the social and traditional aspects of her town. She practiced “Castells” techniques as well as music and sports. She entered the social circus school l’Ateneu Popular de 9 Barris in Barcelona. Afterwards, she began her academic formation in physical and outdoors sports activities, she then entered into the professional studies program at the Rogelio Rivel circus school.
